Le MARGIRIS, deuxième plus gros chalutier du monde, est de retour dans la Manche en ce début d’octobre 2019 entre Cherbourg et le sud de l’Angleterre. 
De tels moyens industriels sont suffisants pour éradiquer toutes les ressources halieutiques de la planète, les artisans pêcheurs ainsi que tous les dauphins du secteur.

5 day track of supertrawler Margiris off the south coast of England. We suspect that she is catching mackerel.
Margiris’s net is 600m long, with a mouth 100m x 200m.
This 142m-long midwater trawler is a floating factory that can process 250 tonnes of fish per day. She can carry 6200 tonnes of fish.
In all probability short-beaked common dolphins, endangered bluefin tuna and overfished sea bass will also be targeting the same fish species as Margiris. The likelihood of non-target species mortality is therefore very high.
